Presentation Plan:

If you decide to proceed I will draw up a scaled Presentation Plan using the concept or parts of the concepts that you like.  I will include suggestions of hard landscape designs and materials, plants and ornamentation.

Surveys and Concepts:

If you would like Growing Designs to provide you with some concepts of what we could achieve I will need to do a survey of part or all of the garden.  I will need accurate details of it’s size, aspect, features and services, slopes, soil structure and type.  

Growing Designs will also need to ask you about your likes and dislikes, what you want to use your garden for (relaxing, entertaining, children etc.), what you like about your garden and what you want to change and why.  I will then be able to draw up a Base Plan and a working brief that I will use to produce some concept ideas to discuss with you.  They will be yours to keep whether or not we progress further.

Sometimes I produce a three-dimensional view of the proposed garden or a 'mood board' to give an idea of the effects that will be achieved and examples or details of suggested materials and plants.  We will then discuss the Presentation Plan, which will be yours to keep.

At each stage of the process I will ask you to confirm in writing your request for me to undertake work.

This ensures that we both understand exactly what is expected of each party and aims to avoid any misunderstandings, unpleasant surprises and awkwardness.

If you like the Proposed Design you can then use

it to implement the plan.

You are free to install

yourself or I can help you.

The Design Process:

An Overview

I come and visit you, look at your garden and discuss what changes you would like to make. We will talk through the whole process so that you decide which way you want to proceed.

I offer advice relating to Garden Design, survey the garden and draw up Concept Plans and ideas, prepare a Presentation Plan, produce Planting Plans, Working Details, Specifications and Maintenance Schedules and

Growing Designs can

Project Manage for full implementation of

the garden design.

All of my drawings are drawn by hand and are hand coloured where appropriate, your garden is tailored to your needs and is a one-off.

You can pick and choose the services you want to use.  This helps you if you are on a limited budget, already have good gardening knowledge or it helps where size or time prohibits large projects from being completed all at once.  It also enables you to take one step at a time if you are unsure about what you

want or need.

No two gardens are the same; this makes my life interesting and enjoyable

as well as making
