Back Garden

The garden had a sloping lawn, steps leading to a raised area with trees (retained by a brick wall) and on the other side a sunken deck area with a pergola.

The Clients wanted to level the lawn so that the children could play more games and they also wanted to incorporate a ‘hidden’ area for the trampoline which could be transformed, in the future, into an area for a hot tub.

The design added a retaining wall to allow for the lawn to be levelled behind which the trampoline could be sited.  This lower area leads off the existing deck and is a secluded area which will be perfect for the hot tub once the children have grown up.  A deck has been added to the existing raised area so that it can be used as an alternative sitting area.

The new lawn is a great place for the children to play and the area behind can now be used to sit and relax in a leafy and secluded place.

The area behind the new retaining wall is a great place for the trampoline today and for the hot tub in the future.
