Town Garden - before ....

The Client decided to change

the garden - completely!

He wanted a garden to use all year round with a contemporary and modern feel.

Parties for up to fifty people were held at least twice a year so entertaining was a key component for the new garden.

The garden before ...........

The Client fancied a shelter or cart lodge type building at the end of the garden and several seating areas around the space.

A new conservatory was to be built on the back of the house.

The garden slopes up away from the house overall by one metre.

Low maintenance was

important as was the use of the garden at night and for

outdoor cooking and eating.

Favourite colours - black, white and purple!

Black steel frames and white trellis and posts give a sense of space.

 A lower permanent seating area is enclosed with steel framework.

Steps lead to an area with a rendered feature wall and sculpture.

From this landing you

gain access to the

sunken firepit.  

Behind the feature wall is another smaller seating area with a bespoke black steel and stainless steel sculpture.  Again this area is ‘enclosed’ by steel framework.

The sunken firepit is a great area for cooking, eating and relaxing.  There is space to seat eleven or more people who can all chat whilst keeping warm on a chilly evening.
