The garden was largely made up of pea shingle with stepping stones, a quadrant patio (which was too small) and a raised border. There was no room for the canoe and the inevitable waste bins and there was nowhere for the children to play without getting into trouble!
The clients’ brief was to make the garden more child friendly with areas for play, provide an area for a table and chairs under the magnificent wisteria and make a screened area for the bins.
The curved path from the back door leads to a ‘hidden’ paved area under the established wisteria.

The little boy loves trains so he now has ‘tracks’ to run them on and a station platform! A sand pit sits on a paved circle which will accommodate a focal point or the chiminea once it is no longer required.
