The front garden was typical of many - a concrete path from the front door, around
the garage to the concrete run-in, nowhere to park the second car, a narrow border
across the front and down one side and a well beaten track diagonally across the
grass made by the children going to and coming home from school.
The clients’ brief was to make an area to park the second car without ruining the
lawn, to add more interesting planting and to keep the children’s shoes clean coming
home from school!
The clients wanted a small budget, low maintenance
and functional front garden
with more kerb appeal.
The path home from school is now clean
and the children won’t get into trouble for
making a muddy path across the lawn
and there is also a place for the bicycle.
The garden before ........
The view from the road is now more interesting and a path leads to the front door
from all directions without the garden looking like an ‘urban concrete jungle’. Functional
and appealing!
A place for parking for the second car has been created.
